After 15 (! ) years ago I decided to buy another piece. It' s a minimalistic backpack, intended for a motorcycle, I sometimes ride a bike with it, but mostly I wear it to work. It is firm, when I used the previous model as a backbone when going downhill, it actually saved my back once when I flew off the slope directly into the scree.
It won' t fit everything, but if you play around a bit with what you really need, it pays off. It' s not for everyone, but I love it and it lasts a really long time.
