I started taking Myo-inositol because of high blood sugar levels, as I read that it improves cells' sensitivity to insulin. And it really helped me. I took one level spoonful of the powder twice a day. You just need to leave a gap between taking it and eating. After a light meal, it should be at least 3 hours, and after a heavy meal, maybe 6 hours. After taking the myo-inositol itself, it's best not to eat anything for another 4 hours (the manufacturer states only half an hour, but that's not enough for maximum absorption). Personally, I solved this by always having the myo-inositol by my bed with an alarm set for 4 a.m., so I could just take it with a drink and go back to sleep. I would then take the second dose in the evening before bed, making sure I only ate light meals at night and no later than 3 hours before the myo-inositol. However, if someone doesn't want such a strict routine, a shorter gap between meals is definitely still better than not taking myo-inositol at all. Any part of it that gets absorbed is better than none.
