The device is primarily suitable as a supplementary device for streaming content from common subscription services in FHD, content from IPTV and sports.
In terms of image output, the device is pretty cool. But the whole thing is killed by the chipset used which has little power and the android 11 system setup which lets you do practically nothing. The system is slow, often lags and crashes. His momentum is "endless" by today's standards.

The geometry of the oblique projection can be adjusted quite well, but count on the light "halo" that indicates the original image. It can be quite disturbing at night. I rethought the placement of the projector because of this and avoided the slant projection.
If you want to play some files via USB, it's better to run VLC on the PC and share it to the projector via WiFi. When playing directly from USB, you'll quickly run into the projector's limits on supported formats. I haven't tried HDMI, not much reason.
If you lose the remote, you can't control the projector, it has no buttons, only power. But maybe you could use a USB mouse.
Overall, the device was able to fully replace my TV for sports broadcasts with the ONEPLAY app. Too bad about the tragic system and the higher price. But despite this, I rate it positively.

It takes about 15 minutes to start up and set up Google TV for the first time, then the update downloads (about 10 minutes).
When watching movies/series, the brightness is very Sufficient even in bright light, depending on what brightness level is set. The projector has a total of 4 brightness levels: Standard, Eco, High performance (pretty strong cooling, lots of "huff") and user adjustable brightness from 0 to 10. Testing found that standard brightness is level 7 in the user setting, eco is level 6.
The overall impression for me is very positive. I have been looking for a projector that suits me for a long time and then I came across this one.
I originally had my eye on the Xgimi Elfin (600 ANSI LM) or the Xgimi Horizon (2200 ANSI lm) from a competitor, but both require a stand to be purchased separately, so the total investment for the Xgimi projectors would be more than my budget. The Elfin + separately purchased stand would have been the same price as this one, but the luminosity and operating system won out over the Dangbei Atom. On the other side was Xgimi Horizon. It won over this projector with 1000 ANSI lm higher luminance, but the price was quite high.
The choice was difficult, but after watching several video reviews, the Dangbei Atom won.
