Hard to rate this product, it arrived damaged, one optical system was black. But the other eye saw a nice image overall with good magnification. I probably wouldn't use it as a hiking scope anyway, I really wouldn't want to carry three quarters of a kilo with me.
Due to the damage I returned it and Alza refunded my money immediately, which I rate very positively.
Pretty good zoom (at least for one eye. )
