I came across the eGO brand while looking for a replacement for a chainsaw that was falling apart. Since I was looking for something that would tame the grass on 3,000 m2, moreover, in a rather rugged terrain, I automatically launched the battery program immediately. I didn' t believe that something powered by flashlights would replace anything gasoline powered, but I was wrong. This machine playfully puts any Chinese products of all major sellers in the Czech Republic on the shoulders and boldly competes with the upper middle class. First-class and easy handling due to low weight, high-quality chassis material that will never rust, the speed of travel will force you to walk sharply even up a steeper hill. It collects wet grass perfectly and thanks to the two Honda blades it mulches perfectly. No roar of the engine, no stench from burnt oil in the combustion, no vibrations. That' s all the product labels promise, and they' re right. It' s one of those things that once you' ve tried it, you don' t understand how you could have dragged your old lawnmower around for so long. For example, you can listen to music without headphones while mowing. Compliance, compliance and once again compliance! You can fold all 53 cm of the frame in three movements into a flat baby carriage and store it against the wall in the same way, or simply throw it in the trunk of the car - yes, 26 kilos without a battery. With one 7.5 Ah charge, it can easily handle 1000m2 and you can run for a little over an hour. And that' s also how long this 56V battery takes to charge, so if you get 2, you' ve got an endless supply of juice. And now the cons. There aren' t any, not really. There are certain buts:
Price - you have to look at the price of the mower from a certain angle. The mower itself, although plastic, is worth the price. Maintenance-free engine, quality materials and workmanship. No gasoline, oil, filter, spark plugs, canisters, funnels, trips to the pump, services, broken starter cords, snapped drive cables, rattling drives, spring starts, nothing. The cost of the battery is a rocket but the batteries are great and will last me 10 years mowing my plot. If you compare the long-term costs of gasoline and eGO, then you are done with buying this mower and batteries (once in a while). On the other hand, you are just getting started with gasoline.
The collection basket - can swell so that the grass is a little more difficult to empty.
Plastic cover of the battery and charger - it can look a little cheaper, but it' s cool.
Drive buttons - it' s a habit, but sometimes I drive the mower by mistake and unintentionally.
Wheels - they could be a little bigger, the mower tends to bounce around a bit. But I' m mowing an ordinary meadow with it, no England. If you are looking for a new mower for larger areas, don' t be afraid of this machine. It works great, makes a great impression with the processing, materials, durability, the design is great. Quiet while mowing, long warranty. A wide service network, if anything.
