The wall plugs are 5mm, I recommend getting Torx screws for the ceiling, it really will make the job a whole lot easier. Why the manufacturer used Philips and not Pozidrive PZ, which is at least commonly used in Europe, I really don't understand. I've even had a manufacturer who used JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard). And honestly, those soft Philips screws are not suitable for the ceiling, for goodness' sake, those are screws for the aluminium on WWII aircraft, not for a wall. I don't understand how the manufacturer doesn't know this. Seriously, buy Torx instead, you'll save yourself the stress.

The screws are seriously impossible to screw in, they're soft and strip easily even with the correct PH1 screwdriver.
