From the corporate environment I was used to printing the Prusament on translucent printers. After I bought the Core One kit for home hobby use, I started to consider whether 2x the price of the prusament compared to this was worth it. Not in my observation. I don't know how constant the diameter of the string is, or how well wound the filament is (visually it looks quite messy), but in practice neither has been a problem so far. I've only had one failure on my printer so far and that was with the attached prusament sample. If I needed some extra QA for filament, it would be for more advanced materials, not basic PLA. Therefore, this is the ideal choice for the money.
