I purchased a new car battery which failed after about one week of normal use.
The measured voltage dropped to 3.3 V and the vehicle remained completely de-energised. I am aware that the product was not shipped directly from the Alza warehouse,
but from the warehouse of an external supplier.
Based on the state of the battery, I have reason to suspect
that these car batteries were stored for long periods without regular maintenance. There is no reasonable reason to make a brand new car battery
discharged overnight to just 3.3 volts.
I hope Alza will pay more attention to the quality and reliability of their suppliers. The car is my only means of transport to work,
Nevertheless, it can take up to 19-30 days to process a claim,
which is unacceptable for such a basic and essential product.
