I honestly expected more. So far the only siguro from alza don't have such a bad smell even if they are old. I think Brita had that smell. The water coming out of it isn't very good either. The only positive is that it has the same system as siguro so if the cartridge from alza is out of order you can buy these as a temporary replacement.
