I can't say if it will help the flowers yet.
The timing device is a tragic thing invented by a moron. I would have expected a repeat the next day, but I miscalculated. It has to be manually restarted every time. So if you have a flower stored somewhere away from home, the automation is zero.
You can't put it on a switched socket either, because the light is off when you switch it on.
I solved it by cracking the driver and a few solder joints and now I have it on a switched socket.
