Unreliable! I tested the detector on an unmarked police Škoda Kodiaq with a radar gun and the detector didn't make a peep. I tried a different setting than the one recommended by the manufacturer and still nothing. By the time I'd driven past the police for the fourth time, it looked like they were about to pull me over. Then a driver doing about 130 in a 90 zone overtook me and they went after them, so they were definitely measuring speed!
