The display only shows the desired temperature (not the actual temperature) either in the fridge or freezer, which needs to be switched by a button. The display goes out after closing the fridge for a while and only comes on when you press the button or reopen the fridge.
In my case, after turning the door, the freezer did not seal-it was freezing, I found that it was enough to just hand-tighten the seal around the door and it seals again. Otherwise I am satisfied with the fridge, good price/performance ratio.
