I don't know if I have a defective piece, but this antenna is unusable for most reception conditions in the Czech Republic. The previous type of this antenna without amplifier was great, I personally used it several times for reception near transmitters. This type "improved" by an amplifier that amplifies everything from about 350 MHz to about 800 MHz by tens of dB is really useless. Any usable TV signal is completely lost in the amplified noise. You're better off with a Greentek UVR-AV565 or a piece of wire.
