So far, the lock has been working as it should (for 4 months). One advantage is the built-in battery, which can be charged via USB-C. We also had the previous version of the lock, which used a 9V battery; when it ran out, you had to connect the lock to another 9V battery and then swap it for a new one, which was, to put it mildly, a nightmare, This switch to USB-C is a real bonus; you just need to plug the lock into a charger or power bank every now and then. So far, we’ve been testing it since spring; the lock copes well with the heat – we’ll see how it copes with the winter frosts. We returned the previous version because moisture had got into the lock and it would sometimes discharge itself due to a short circuit. This one looks OK so far, so hopefully it’ll last.
The option to assign each user their own code and then track who used the lock and when. It’s great that you can assign a code remotely and send it, for example, by text message or email

We’ve had this version of the lock for about four months now, and the battery is at 20 per cent, having used it to unlock and lock the door about once or twice a day.

It is unfortunately a very poor quality product, it will be gone in about a year.
