Both films are fine for fans of this type of sci-fi, the effects are hilarious. You will enjoy a decently constructed plot and a few illogicalities one could forgive. My rating (and not only mine) is HIGHLY compromised by the fact that the extended version
a) did not bring any groundbreaking and important scenes
but MOSTLY
b) the Czech distributor didn't bother with dubbing and so the added sections are in English and subtitled, which against the dubbed film looks extremely distracting and unprofessional. If these sections could be turned off on the DVD, it would be better - but they can't.
