I tried the bottle on a hot day for fifty miles, and the water was really fresh and cool until the very end. It holds firmly in the bike carrier, even in the field it doesn't move, but it can't be pulled out with one hand. It doesn't bother me because I ride a big scooter, but it might bother a cyclist. It could drip through the vent when the bottle is tipped over, but I haven't had that happen yet. For me the bottle is well made and it's more than I expected for the price.
