I bought two identical pistols; both ‘gave up’ after just a few uses. On one of them, a wire had come loose from the battery; it was reattached and soldered back in place.
Moisture then got into both pistols and the motor seized up. After taking it apart and cleaning it by hand, it started working, but unfortunately neither the motor nor the wires are protected against moisture, which is something I would have expected from a water pistol.
I really wouldn’t recommend it for occasional use.
Appearance
Option for manual use
A handle that’s too big for a child’s hand
A poorly insulated battery
The motor that pumps the water will break down straight away

Same problem. After a few tries, I put the pistol away for our holiday so it wouldn't get damaged. When I got it out after a few weeks, it wouldn't shoot anymore. Sent it back under warranty.
Shoots well
Stopped spraying after a few uses.
