I bought two identical pistols; both ‘gave up’ after just a few uses. On one of them, a wire had come loose from the battery; it was reattached and soldered back in place.
Moisture then got into both pistols and the motor seized up. After taking it apart and cleaning it by hand, it started working, but unfortunately neither the motor nor the wires are protected against moisture, which is something I would have expected from a water pistol.
I really wouldn’t recommend it for occasional use.
