I returned the book. It looks like it's from 2021, but in reality it's from 2015 (real 2013). Which is just a thing with JS and API descriptions of current browsers. Absolutely does not meet what I expected. I don't recommend it for complete beginners and certainly not for advanced players. The titles of the chapters themselves are a clue.

Outdated ECMAScript 5 syntax, no sign of ES6.
The whole book is basically a guide to playing with dots. One whole chapter on its rules. Other chapters on etc. nonsense.
Unfortunately, modern procedures are not really there.
