If you think all you need to do to make a good sequel is to dumb down the complexity of the game, you're going to love it. It was a disappointment for me. The game itself, not to mention the packaging - the aforementioned character stands, the insert is different from the photos and things don't fit. The whole thing is weird - equipment in a box like from some epic strategy game and yet it's Karak with a hex map and illogically grafted building á la Carcassone. A primitive game with complex rules, where there is a hectic beginning, then a middle part that is practically non-existent, and then a hectic ending.
Karak = first Karak without expansion, you don't need more.
