In a nutshell - the main and only major advantage is the image of the shots, the app is more of a salvage of flaws. If I hadn't added an aesthetic flaw to the camera through clumsiness, I would have tried to return or resell it right away. We bought the camera as a replacement for a ~6 year old mirror camera from a competitor and after a few days and a few hundred kilometers I would have immediately changed back to the old one if it was still functional. Calling the controls intuitive is a bad joke (perhaps only saving a shot is intuitive). Complete lack of menus/settings and inability to change brightness, turn down beeps etc. I would expect from a camera for > 1 000, - CZK. Anyway, the icing on the cake is that the camera doesn't turn itself off and is able to record day and night with the ignition off and the car locked, just because I slammed the door a little harder and the G-sensor turned it back on after manually turning it off. Radar reporting (from a database that is far from complete) at a time when apps like Waze exist and modern cars have this feature from the factory is also unnecessary and annoying.
The image of the captured footage - 4K and FullHD makes a big difference
Contents of the package - studs for cable routing through the interior and USB MicroSD reader
Minimum of "unnecessary" functions (e.g. wannabe lane assist as with competitors)
Application - simple, possibility to view the shot in the car immediately after taking it
"intuitive control" is more of a satire than a virtue
Inability to silence beeping radar reports
Inability to turn off the display/dim the brightness
Overall the controls would be "intuitive" with the addition of an extra button or at least some basic menu/settings
G-sensor so sensitive that the camera is triggered when the door closes
During the day the camera records quite solidly, at night the quality goes down. The image turns purple and there is quite a bit of noise, but it might still be enough as evidence. Radar detection doesn't always work, but not every radar has it stored in the database. The magnetic mount is very solid, I'm not worried that the camera will ever fall off.
Magnetic holder
170°
USB-C
4k interpolated only
Sometimes the video would deserve a higher bitrate
The rear camera attaches to the front camera body instead of its mount
So far, it's working as it should. Slightly clumsier controls (for example, the menu is only turned on after pressing the ok button first), but otherwise simple to use. Installation is also fine - the adhesive mount so far looks like it may last longer than the suction cups on other models. Practical cable clips for glass.
Easy installation
Cable holders for glass
Ignition holder, but with USB port for possible mobile charging
Cannot be connected to the USB socket on the mirror or any other socket. Charges only via the original cable. Any other doesn't eat. Unusable in new vehicles with USB sockets
