For its price, the headset is a pretty good starter VR for standalone gaming and use. The battery usually lasts just long enough for you to do something in the headset without feeling sick from long-term use. The sound, considering it comes from speakers on the sides of the headset, surprised me with how good it is, but unfortunately, those are almost all of its positives. I've had the headset for just over two years now, and since then, I've had more and more problems with it. With every update, something else breaks. Sometimes the menu in VR has stopped working, and I've even had to do a factory reset a few times after an update because nothing would work properly. If you're buying the headset mainly for PC gaming, you'd be better off choosing a different one. While Meta does have software for PC gaming (Meta Horizon Link), the connection often doesn't work correctly, and if you're playing through Steam, the two software programs start to 'argue', and the picture becomes practically unwatchable. To sum up – it might be a good headset to start with, especially for the great price, but only for standalone stuff and it's limited by the system Meta has implemented on the headset. If you want a VR headset for the long term or for PC gaming as well, I'd look for a different one.
For standalone use, it's very good for its price.
The battery in the headset lasts for around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on usage.
Surprisingly good quality sound considering it's coming from speakers and not headphones.
The controller batteries barely last five days, they drain even when you're not using the controllers. It's best to buy rechargeable batteries when you purchase the headset.
The screen adjustment inside the headset isn't the best, it might not suit some people at all, and it's even worse with glasses.
You can practically forget about playing PC games unless you want to spend weeks on the setup, only for it all to break within a day. The software from Meta works pretty much the worst of all for this purpose.
With every new update that Meta releases for the headset, it stutters more and more, some things stop working and the features that were good are being removed.

I'm writing this review after about a year's experience with this rubbish. If you're buying this VR mainly to pair it with a PC and play proper VR games, then give any VR headset from Meta a wide berth. You'll spend 99% of your time dealing with software issues, as it's absolutely awful. I've genuinely spent more time solving problems than actually using the VR headset. I recommend setting it on fire and letting it burn. DO NOT BUY.
For a price of around 8,000, the hardware itself is quite okay.
When it works as it should, it's not bad, but the problem is that it almost never works as it should.
Unusable, buggy software
Air Link is basically non-functional and unusable.
Problems pairing with a PC are a daily occurrence (and I'm not even exaggerating)
The lenses are awful - you can only see what's in the centre of the image, the rest is blurry. So you constantly have to move the headset to get it to sit right on your eyes.
The controllers eat batteries for breakfast, even when the VR is switched off (they can drain a battery in just a few days) – I recommend taking the batteries out after every use.
Basically, nothing works - just constant problems from start to finish.

It looks well-made.
Surprisingly, I quite like the sound it produces when playing games and so on. I have to say, I don’t know where the sound’s coming from, but it really is a pleasure to listen to.
I suppose there are quite a few apps in their app store, too.
The worst – and I mean absolutely the worst – thing I’ve ever tried to connect to a PC and get it to work. At first, their app told me that I didn’t even meet the minimum requirements. I have an (MSI Vector 16 HX AI, Intel Core i9-14900HX, NVIDIA RTX 5080, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD) and then, for a change, 3S couldn’t find it again. I don’t understand why I have to connect to both my mobile and my PC, but okay.
Then my mobile showed me an offer saying I could have their service for three months free of charge, which I agreed to. And for a change, it asked me for my payment card! Why use a payment card when it’s already set up on your mobile? Our Mareček Cukříkbereger is simply doing a lovely job of bringing our identity together. Mobile, PC, credit card – and what fascinates me most is what the hell… w. and needs to know my location. I’m sorry for the swearing, but I’ve had enough of these apps that make you allow everything!
Playing videos is another nightmare.
The screen’s a right let-down – it’s just like those first 3D TVs you used to have. Half-Life: Alyx looks great – this screen hides its flaws – but World of Tanks looks like a completely blurry, awful mess.
And trying to adjust it so that I could look at the cinema screen – well, that was completely off the mark.
Overall, the controls are unintuitive and awful. I wanted to give it a go and would have been happy to pay the extra five for the number three, but the dilemma I mentioned earlier sorted itself out.
I’m not surprised it hasn’t caught on with more people, because setting it up is a nightmare.

Perfect buy for kids - no complications with computer, console, cabling. you just put it on your head and play. Perfect purchase, I am very satisfied.
Can be used independently - put on your head and play
Can also be used as VR glasses for PC
Applicable also for "spectacles" - with supplied spacer
the drivers are on one pencil flashlight and you can really get into them: )
Lasts about one to two hours of play time
Complicated video streaming if you don't have an Android TV (you only need to stream if you want non-players to be able to see what the players are seeing)
lack of more precise adjustment and dioptric correction (but this is solved by the supplied spacer)
