In my opinion, the manufacturer has made a pretty major blunder here. When a fish bites and you then strike, the movement of the line pulls the wire out of the battery and the swinger stops working. It's missing a safety cord or some other firm anchor that would hold the swinger in place and prevent the wire from being pulled out. In its current design, the product is practically unusable for me. Don't buy it.
