Mechanically nicely made, but unfortunately very inaccurate product for gusts of wind - unfortunately, it does not record them at all due to the concept, where the manufacturer focused primarily on battery life (which is in reality about a year). For example, 17.2.2022 reports a maximum air speed of 57 km / h, when looking at the map of the whole Czech Republic and other Netatmo stations, they do not record or display any higher speeds. At the same time, a mechanical anemometer in the same place (as well as professional stations in the vicinity) reports a maximum gust speed of 103 km / h. The device cannot be used e. g. for communication with the insurance company.
Constant level of measurement over time - there are no mechanically moving parts that would clog.
It can be easily converted to power over the cable and the battery can be changed in a more pleasant environment than on the roof. (The procedure can be found on YouTube).
Integration into the Netatmo ecosystem.
Unfortunately, the low accuracy of gust measurement - it measures only once every 6 seconds and therefore does not catch the absolute majority of gusts.
It is necessary to change the batteries about once a year - thanks to the concept of power supply without an external source, you always have to go to the place of installation - often heights. It could be solved directly from the production by the possibility of external power supply.
