The NICRON H25 is a very well made, lightweight, but at the same time robust-looking headlamp, with interesting parameters on paper, which shines very, very well in real life. SPOT mode is mainly suited for motion activities where you need to see far ahead, compared to FLOOD mode which is suitable for "work" where the light cone is not directed to a single point but is evenly dispersed to the sides. Combining the two modes you get maximus light from the headlamp, but the difference is not that big compared to SPOT mode alone (it's like when you turn on the fog lights in your car when you have high beams: -D), there is also a red light mode, but it is not very noticeable. I also have to highly commend the strap which fits really well and is probably one of the best I could try on the headbands, the buckles hold the lock perfectly, there are two non-slip rubber strips on the inside of the strap all the way around, it just could be a little longer when I have a winter hat on it's just so-so. In reviews I often read that the headlamp did not turn on and was sent for warranty. The same thing happened to me (of course I took out the plastic "transport" wheel on the minus contact of the battery: -D) and nothing, I put another battery into the headlamp and the headlamp started without any problem, I put the original battery into the external charger, which reported about 90%. On closer examination I found that the plus contact in the headlamp has some "coating" on it maybe "rosin" with soldering electrical circuits?, I cleaned the contact, put the original battery and everything works OK. What can I say for this price, a very good headlamp that you will really use a lot.

I've been meaning to complain that it won't turn on. The battery cover must be tightened really "blood tight" otherwise the contacts of the flashlight do not connect with the battery poles and the headlamp cannot be switched on.
