I bought this backpack because it doesn't look like a box with straps and it has at least one zipped side pocket. The material is good quality and the backpack is well-made. A Lenovo ThinkBook 16” (356mm × 253.5mm x 17.5mm) can be slid into the laptop compartment without force. The clearance is minimal, so you probably won't fit a thicker laptop in there. A half-litre PET bottle fits into the thermo pocket. The space for a pen is as deep as the tablet pocket, so if you don't secure it with the clip, you'll struggle to get it out. The front pocket is quite shallow; an item thicker than a packet of paper tissues will cause an unsightly bulge on the front of the backpack. The zipped side pocket can be opened even with the backpack on your back. The bottle pocket has a drainage hole lined with a painted metal ring. In my case, the paint was scratched. The backpack has one major drawback: the ventilated, moulded back panel is made of a hard material that feels warm to the touch and heats up your back, which is not exactly what you need in the summer. For this reason, I returned the backpack.
