These are audiophile headphones, so expect top-tier sound. The bass is full and punchy, but not intrusive. The mids are clear, every single instrument is distinct, and when a note ends, it stops exactly as it would in real life. The treble is clean, but doesn't pierce or hurt your ears. As you turn up the volume, the sound doesn't distort; instead, the entire soundstage scales up proportionally.
Simply put, the sound is top-notch and I really enjoy it. Unfortunately, though, the ANC is rubbish. Headphones at 10% of the price have similar ANC, and I don't know if I'll even take them on a plane. Everyone writes about how great it is and better than the previous Apollo model, but I don't think so. Compared to the Artemis, the Apollo has superb ANC. I wore the Apollo on a plane for up to 11 hours and often didn't even listen to music. I just loved the silence.
I haven't flown with the Artemis yet, but when I turn on the hair dryer, I feel like nothing is happening. Hopefully it's just software and they will fix it. Don't buy them for the ANC, you will be disappointed.
