I deliberately used up my data allowance to see if I could top up my credit and whether the package would be reactivated. At that moment, I came across O2’s absurdly buggy system. Unfortunately, the data limit can only be reset via the link in the text message (that’s what their daft AI told me); But I didn’t receive it, because I’d activated automatic FUP renewal in the system beforehand (I know what that is, but good luck to anyone who doesn’t know the term). In short: The automatic renewal did not take place because I had no credit at the time the package needed to be renewed. Your credit will not be automatically topped up; this will only happen 30 days after your last activation. There is no option for manual activation in the system, as an exhausted package is already shown as active there.
