I haven't found a way to specify a non-public WiFi network.
After switching to standby mode it was not possible to turn on the device in any normal way, I had to do a reset with a paperclip. Since the radio was for my grandmother, who was almost 80, we returned it, as she probably couldn't have handled the problem herself.
More buttons for preferences would be useful.
