A design defect in the glass and a horrible claim with AlzyProti: A major design flaw: The glass bottom (Flatbed technology) cannot withstand the thermal stresses of baking and will spontaneously crack with a bang when the oven is at rest, even when nothing is in the oven. Dangerous product: If there was food inside, the glass shards would contaminate it. Alza's disastrous approach to complaints: Alza rejects claims within the first 12 months of purchase with a generic template. In my case, they even made up "cracked display and broken connector" in their official statement, even though the technician signed off on their own acceptance report: "Visible mechanical damage: NO." Summary: I definitely do not recommend an oven with this design from Panasonic. If it spontaneously breaks, be prepared for the seller to violate the Consumer Protection Act, not to recognise the legal presumption of defect and you will have to refer the matter to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (CTIA), as I had to do. Big disappointment from Panasonic and from Alza.
