A lot of pages
It's not unnecessarily large for children's hands
Lots of nice pictures just like from the series
The commentary is also okay.

The book has long been a staple of ours, but more because of the pictures we talk about with the boys (ages 2 and 3). The text itself describes in great detail what Pat and Mat are doing and the children don't enjoy listening to it - at least not the little ones. And frankly, I don't enjoy reading it.
