We’ve been using it every night for two months now, and so far the baby monitor hasn’t let us down or left us in the lurch once. It works as it should and has no connection issues (although we’ve only tested it in our flat so far, it still has a good signal even through a couple of walls). It’s dead simple to use, and once you’ve set it up the first time, you won’t have to worry about a thing. Every evening after putting the baby to sleep, I switch on the monitor; it connects to the camera automatically, and then all I have to do is watch. Once the camera is plugged into the socket, a blue indicator light comes on at the front – which is ironic when you’re trying to limit your child’s exposure to blue light – but it goes out once you connect it to the monitor, provided you’ve set it up that way in the software. The indicator light remains off at all times, even when disconnected from the monitor. So the simple solution was to leave the camera plugged in by the cot round the clock and not worry about it. It does exactly what I needed – minimal fiddling about and a high-quality night-vision image. I recommend it.
