This confirmed for me once again that it really pays to spend a bit more and get something "better". Until now, I'd been trying all sorts of cheap options, which either didn't light up properly or lasted half a year before something broke. I can't comment on the long-term quality, but the first impression is perfect. I know the PETZL brand very well from climbing, so I picked it as the obvious choice after all my failed attempts with other torches. The biggest plus I would really highlight is that you can set it between 3 lighting modes with a single switch when you turn it on, and when you need to turn it off, one click is all it takes. Absolutely brilliant. And as for the light itself, to be honest I wasn't expecting much of a show from 300 lm, but I was genuinely surprised, so that's another confirmation of its quality.
