Reading the positive reviews here, I must have got a defective unit, but in my book, it's simply rubbish. Temperature on max + steam on Eco = when stood on its heel, boiling water spits out of the bottom holes, leaving the ironing board completely soaked after 5 minutes. Although the membrane clicks and presumably stops the water, the "drip stop" function is clearly ineffective anyway. The one from '95 was waaaaay better and didn't spit. Personally, I definitely don't recommend it, it's much worse compared to a 31-year-old one.
Glides nicely (compared to the old Teflon one)
Boiling water spits out of the iron when it is stood on its heel.
The board was soaked through in 5minutes

nothing so far
The iron met my expectations in every way, including the larger soleplate. The water tank is transparent, even though it doesn't look like it in the picture, but it's easy to keep an eye on the water level and the cord doesn't get tangled.

I had a Philips iron for about 20 years. Then it occasionally wouldn't turn on. So I wanted a new one, a good one, and not too expensive. After all my attempts, I have a new Philips iron. But unfortunately, it's worse. The original was excellent to hold, nothing got in the way, the three-metre cord reached everywhere, and the Careeza soleplate glided smoothly. So at least I chose a Philips without that stupid button under the index finger. The cord is only 1.9m, the holes on the soleplate are only around the edges, whereas before they were all over, and the ceramic glides worse. But most importantly, the iron simply doesn't iron as well. You have to press harder and use a higher temperature. So this is 20 years of progress? Right.
It doesn't have a button under the index finger
The wheel is harder to turn.
The water can be refilled quickly
Weight just right
The soleplate doesn't glide as well as my 20-year-old iron.
The steam holes are only sparsely located around the perimeter of the soleplate.
The cord is short, I'll swap it for a long one eventually.
The ergonomics of the handle are worse than on my old iron, there's less space for your fingers
