Honestly - I hate these modern protections, sometimes it's a big problem to plug an adapter or plug into a socket. Fortunately, the extension can be disassembled, of course, found cracked and buckled protection. Removed and left free of gaps. So I'm not returning the product. But I'm still fascinated by the unconnected, but only crimped, electricity supply to the socket sockets. They used to be made of copper, so everything could be soldered, but now not a chance. It's just some non-soldering, yellowish sheet metal. But that's the state of products today. But I can confirm that surge protection is indeed present inside.
