Before that I had an older version that worked perfectly fine. However, due to mechanical damage, I could no longer use it. I want to say that I expected an improvement from the newer version, at least in terms of the system. I've been trying to get used to the buttons for about a month, but the quality, which used to be ten times better, is now just completely shitty. The buttons can't be pressed normally, and the sound they make (if I'm lucky enough to hit them at all, because they're too small) sounds like the cheapest plastic they could find. Moreover, you can only press them exactly in the middle; )
Now, about the system. Before buying this PocketBook, I read a lot of reviews and thought the one-star ones were just unnecessarily harsh and over the top. But now I get it. I do not recommend anyone to buy this reader! If you have the option to buy a Kindle or the 628 version, do it. Anything but the PocketBook 629. The only thing I expected from the reader was to read books, but even with that this PocketBook has a problem; )
The system will forget what page you left off on. Even if you have "open on last page" checked in the settings, it doesn't care and throws you to the main screen when you turn it on (so you have to search for your book again every time you turn it on). It makes me really sad because I'm a student and I don't have enough money to buy another reader. I will therefore try to spread this comment wherever I can, so that other people who don't have money to spare don't buy this product.
