I needed to make a micro USB OTG to USB-C power cable to connect my e-bike controller and my phone so it could charge on the go. This adapter worked well for that: first I tested that the charging works when I plug a USB-A to USB-C cable into the female port of the adapter, and then I cut off the micro USB end and soldered a USB-C end onto it. The resulting cable also works. So the adapter served well as a sacrifice for my specific project.
