You can't tell from the photo. But the material is thin overall. It would probably bother after a longer time, but the actual thread on the corkscrew is so insignificant that after drilling into the cork plug and trying to pull it out, the opener comes out again and leaves only a hole in the plug. It's completely useless, I'm surprised Alza sells it at all.
It's a dysfunctional piece of junk
