It's no miracle worker, it doesn't get the baby to sleep by itself, nor does it calm them down when they're crying. It's supposed to simulate a car journey, but in a car, the baby is also lulled to sleep by the mechanical motion of the car; this just vibrates. It can be useful, for example, when moving the baby from the car to the cot so they don't wake up when you put them down. Sometimes it managed to delay the baby waking up, but it doesn't work 100% of the time. It's hard to say if it's really worth it for the price.
