I almost pulled all my hair out on this microphone. In the recordings I had random snitching, it didn't matter if I spoke softly or loudly. I used their Rode connect app, tested different volume and gain levels, turned effects off and on but it still didn't help. I've tried different cables and all USB ports including USB C which I have on the board, for maximum transfer. I dug around in my PC, all the sound settings but still nothing. Eventually, all my searches on Reddit led me to their app Rode connect, it often crashes, it works up to 3 tries, even if you turn off the effects in it, it happens that the app doesn't solve it much and it completely messes up your audio. For software updates and Gain settings I recommend only the Rode central app, I use the microphone in combination with Nvidia Broadcaster which removes noise and ambient sounds, Gain -18 and the microphone finally sounds great without weird dropouts and crackles.

I don't know why the reviews here say it's sensitive when you can just set the sound and level so that it only picks up your voice directly in the RODE Connect app. I switched to this microphone from the Endorfy Broadcaster which is more like a Tesco microphone in terms of appearance and quality. even in terms of weight it is noticeable. from my point of view, I recommend it not only for beginner podcasters, but also for people who like clear sound. there is indeed a price-performance ratio.
