Usable, the effect on the microphone characteristics (I use occasionally on the Rode NT2000) is within normal limits to my ears.
It's black, I prefer a nice blue.
The surface is mechanically quite rough and its texture sometimes makes it difficult to see in the video. The cameras give it, but when rendering to lower quality videos and sometimes distracting artifacts are created.
