I bought a restoration kit and started polishing the headlights in the garage. In the instructions there is a clear procedure - before polishing, wash the lights, dry, after that, fix the foam sleeve and Velcro the sandpaper, polish from P400 to P3000. Spray the headlight glass with water and polish before sanding and this is where the problem with this kit starts. The foam in the sleeve gets soaked with water after the first polishing, the next polishing does NOT include new sandpaper, simply, Velcro is useless. You have a split job and you have to polish it by hand, by machine, you can't do it with a drill. You're more likely to fail to polish it by hand, and the result is that you're pissed off and have to find a professional. So you pay the expert + the kit.
