I own a Samsung QE65Q70A TV, and until now, I had a Samsung HW-Q600A Soundbar connected to it. Everything worked flawlessly for several years, but about two months ago, I decided to upgrade the Soundbar to a better one, so I bought the Samsung HW-Q800H, one of the highest-end and latest models.
The Soundbar is connected the same way as the original HW-Q600A, i.e., with an HDMI cable using the eARC connectors, but I'm having constant problems with this new HW-Q800H. When watching TV, once or twice a day, the soundbar will turn itself off out of nowhere and then turn itself back on after about 20 to 30 seconds and continue playing normally.
During this outage, it disconnects not only from the TV but also from the app on my mobile phone, where it shows as Offline. After it restarts, the message "WiFI Conected" appears on the Soundbar after a moment, and then "TV/ARC" several times. I have tried:
- installing the latest firmware
- disconnecting and reconnecting everything
- checking that it's plugged into the correct connectors on both the Soundbar and the TV
- replacing the HDMI cable with an expensive certified one
- plugging the Soundbar into a different 230V socket
- resetting the Soundbar to its factory settings
Unfortunately, I'll have to file a claim, as I haven't found any other tips on the discussion forums.
