The use is limited by the non-standard thickness (12.5mm). As long as it fits the destination, it's good value for money for backing up unimportant data ( such as multimedia). It's probably the "last big thing" in the field of 2.5" platter drives. The downside is the SMR technology, but that's probably due to the location. It does not heat up and is quiet even under full load. After some minor modifications to the cover, I got it instead of the DVD drive in the LENOVO W530.
