For connection to the electricity you need to use the Czech socket extension included in the package. But it's still annoying
Far worse is the noise level, it hums more than my fridge. and still
When working the disk vibrates quite strongly, if you put it on a table on which you have a keyboard and mouse, you will feel the vibration a lot and it is very annoying
Overall, a pretty bad buy - I'm personally returning
If you have a quiet PC like me, you can hear it working. If the HDD is louder than the fans in the PC, I think it's just not good. I chose Firecuda, which is slightly less noisy and at least offers USB port mirroring. Both discs transmitted unpleasant vibrations to the entire table top. I mention the quality company at Seagate deliberately, because they have always been able to save my drives if something happened to them when I moved them and saved me considerable expense.
I bought it as an extra backup to the NAS with the understanding that it would connect once a quarter. After two and a half years on the shelf with a total of about 130 accesses and 250h active, it has 100 cool sectors and is basically a write-off. Out of warranty, of course: )
I would dispute the alleged slow data transfer speeds from several other product reviews. On the 20 TB variant I just purchased, the write speeds are about 150-200 MiB/s and both the source and destination are encrypted with LUKS. I have several pieces of this and previous Seagate Expansion Desktop models of various capacities at home, bought over a range of many years, and I have no problems with them, some have held up for roughly over a decade (they don't run all the time, I only plug them in when transferring data). For me, the biggest shortcoming is the power supply, or rather the need to clip the right fork on it, which especially when pulling out of the socket likes to loosen from the slot. This is something to think about and pay attention to. Otherwise everything is OK.
