It’s amazing what this tiny device can send to your headphones. Compared to the older M0 model, it has a better DAC and plays mp3 format beautifully. I won't even comment on music in lossless formats, it can't get any better. While Czech is missing from the controls, the individual menus are very clear even in English and the controls are intuitive. I haven't tried the equalisers yet because even with the EQ off, the sound isn't lacking in any frequency band. I thought my old Sennheiser eH 150 headphones were flat in the bass, but paired with this Shanling they seem to have transformed to perfection. A very well-made Chinese gem, the package even includes a protective film for the display. The only thing missing compared to the older model is a cover for the micro SD card. If someone has a large number of files on the card, finding a specific track is very convenient and fast. Even die-hard audiophiles would get their money's worth with this player, it definitely won't disappoint. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone who longs to listen to very high-quality sound.
