We decided to buy the air conditioner because of the baby (toddler - 19 months). We suffered last summer, especially when we were putting him to sleep. Ventilators, defrosters (for water + ice) and blackouts helped but this year we decided to buy this air conditioner after a pretty nice discount. I regret not buying it last year. It cools the whole bedroom beautifully before putting the baby to bed. The volume is not terrible (after the negative reviews I expected worse) but who would expect anything else from an air conditioner under 10k? Not for sleeping anyway, but for cooling the room before bedtime, 10/10
