I definitely cannot recommend this product based on personal experience. We have all sorts of other things from Somfa. Before Somfy I had experience with heads from another manufacturer and I expected higher quality from Somfy. Unfortunately, although this head is quite a bit more expensive than the unbranded ones, the expectations were not met. Maybe in terms of software and setup, yes, but: 1) Replacing the batteries is complicated, you have to disassemble the whole head. Closing batteries is often very difficult. Totally user-unfriendly solution. 2) We have the heads on a standard heater (M30 valve). If the motor is not fully inserted in the head when mating, the head cannot be inserted or is difficult to insert. Getting it right is a trial and error. And this is what you really need to watch out for (see below). 3) When replacing the batteries, you will go through the same procedure, including deleting the head from the app (e.g. TaHoma) and a new pairing, which also deletes the linked programs. I.e. you can set it up again. Sometimes removing and reinserting or replacing the batteries (to avoid a complete lubrication and re-pairing, i.e. to get the engine in the right condition), but not always. 4) If the head moves out of the way during installation (usually due to incomplete motor insertion during installation), it will move as the motor works and eventually break off from the heater. This leads to the plastic tabs on the headstock breaking, rendering it unusable (no spares, nonexistent). And we don't have it pulled "by force", but only by hand, with feeling. Summary: Don't buy it. Total crap for a lot of money. Personally, I keep coming back to "China".
