They play quite well. But they’re absolutely useless for what I need, so I might return them. They are completely unusable when lying down; the cheap plastic rattles in your ears at the slightest movement of your head on a pillow or any other surface, so you can’t even move, let alone breathe. I didn't expect this problem at that price. The wired headphones I bought a while back don’t react at all to head movements; I can only hear what I’m supposed to hear through them. The Sony brand doesn’t really mean anything these days.
If you’re feeling generous, you could say they offer decent value for money.
