I purposely used an EVA mat because it is stronger in tension than EPE, and a folding mat necessarily has weak spots between individual rectangles where tearing occurs more easily. What must be taken into account is the fact that EVA foam is the material from which rubber slippers are made, and you can definitely tell by the smell.
