The effect itself is hard to judge. I used it during more strenuous hiking, but I hope it does what you'd expect. What you don't expect is the battle to open the packet and the colouring that leaves your fingers yellow all day (because you were fighting to open the packets) and your containers too. I don't understand why the manufacturer feels the need to pretend it's something it's not and stuff it full of turmeric.
